What a determined little baby you are. You’re not content with being a newborn anymore. You’re learning to roll and are working hard at sitting up too, when all we want is to enjoy you as a baby for as long as possible. You see your older siblings doing things, and you just want to be where they are. You love them so much, if you hear them you’ll crane your neck and move your body to try and see them. Of course they love you just as much, some nights you get a hug when Mama and Dad don’t.

I’m starting to notice you behave slightly different around different people. You have preferences that can change daily, who you want to sleep on, or eat from, or how you want a certain someone to hold you. You love “talking” to whoever has you, looking right into their eyes and make lots of different faces back at them. Always big smiles still, it’s so easy to get them and it makes my day.

You’re just so delicious and sweet, and I can’t stop myself from kissing your cheeks all day. Apparently you think the same about me, because you’ve taken to snapping at my nose like a turtle. If I hold you in front of me you’ll dive towards my face and scratch your hands at my neck until you get close enough and then CHOMP.

You’re at this good point where you’re not completely tied to a schedule yet, and are awake for longer stretches, so it’s making our days slightly easier. There are small minute times that happen daily where I almost forget you exist. Either because you’re so quiet and content where we put you while dealing with something else, but sometimes even asleep in my arms - so still and precious, it’s hard to believe that you’re real. That you’re here.

Also, while this was posted late, I promise the pictures were taken on time at least. BEFORE the 48 hour Covid scare which put everything else on hold while we were in pure survival mode.
