Our First Halloween Here

Halloween Pumpkin

Last night was our first Halloween in our new house.  We weren't expecting much, but still I made sure we were prepared.  It's true we live in a sparsely populated area of the town, and it's true that we don't even have sidewalks or street lights - two usual requirements for trick-or-treaters, but I chose to be optimistic. I wasn't expecting hundreds of kids, but maybe we'd get tenish? And in case we did, I made sure we had a variety of candy, including full sized candy bars. FULL SIZED!

So we turned on all our lights (Seriously every light on the first floor of our house - people would KNOW we were home haha) and put on our Ninja Turtle shirts, and waited. And waited. And waited...

And then we started to eat the candy ourselves haha.  I'll have to bring some of it into the office so we don't finish it off!

The highlight of the night, though, was that the neighbors did stop by!  (Fine, we might have asked them to...) So we did officially have two trick-or-treaters!  The twins were super cute, dressed as storm troopers, and very excited by the full sized candy bars.  Hopefully they'll tell all their friends so we'll get more kids next year!

Halloween Candy No Trick or Treaters

I suppose I'm just destined to always live on non Halloween friendly streets.  To be honest, two trick-or-treaters is two more than we ever had back in Vermont haha.
