Moms Night Out

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

...we were young, single, and living in the city.  We'd go to the movies at least twice a week.  We'd see concerts on week nights, we'd go to comedy shows and musicals and anything we could get tickets to.

We'd wander the streets looking for new restaurants, places to shop, things to do.  No T ride was too long, no hour was too late, it was all doable.  And FUN!

Oh the energy we had.

Now we go to target, and walks with strollers and meet at playgrounds - especially ones that have shade!

Life's a little different.  Not worse, just different.

It's weird to think back to how things used to be and how things have changed now.  But that doesn't mean we can't do things that we used to enjoy.  It might not happen as easily or as frequently, but we are proof that they can happen!

Remember two years ago when we saw Ed Sheeran at Gillette Stadium?  A good example of when things were a bit easier.  We pilled into a car and just went.  Late hour be dammed!  Well he was back in Boston with new music at a different venue.  Tickets were near impossible to get, but I'm magical, so of course I scored a pair in the 5th row.  So off we went.  Babies were safely at home with their daddies, and we were off for a night of fun in the city!

It was weird and awesome all at once.  We went to eat at a cool new marketplace in the city, and got coffee afterwards (we had to figure out some way to stay awake!)

And it was all worth it.  The show was amazing.  Not that we had any doubts, but he's just as talented as ever.  Our seats were great, the stage was amazing, the songs sounded awesome, and we had FUN!

Seriously, if you ever get a chance to see Ed Sheeran live, DO IT.  And if you don't have all of his music - go get it immediately.  There's something for every one.  From rap to love ballads to celtic pop to dance music.  He's amazing.
