Birthday Celebrations

This weekend was full of birthday celebrations for one of our favorite people!  It started off with dinner on Friday at The Top of the Hub.  For anyone who was at our wedding, The Top of the Hub is the restaurant one floor above where our reception was held, which they also catered.  It's a fancy and fun restaurant to visit, especially for special occasions.

Not only was the dinner supposed to be a surprise, but so was the fact that Tom and I would be joining.  (We arrived at the restaurant early to make sure she wouldn't see us on her way there).  However Nicole figured it out ahead of time, so it just ended up as a fun dinner of the four of us.  The food was amazing, as expected, and my dinner even came with a very seasonal side of a cooked pumpkin! And of course the main reason for dining there, is the view!  It was just as breathtaking as it was on our wedding day, and it was a fun reminder of the day.

I"m not great at food pictures, but take my word for it - it was yummy!

The party continued to Saturday night, where I picked the activity for the group.  I decided that we should go test out our artistic abilities at a paint bar! Can you match the paintings below to Tom, Stephen, Nicole and myself?

Any guesses? Maybe I'll give you the answers in the next post :)

If you've never been to a paint bar, it's a ton of fun, and way easier than it looks.  An instructor walks you through the painting step by step, so nothing is ever too intimidating or difficult, but there's enough opportunity to be creative and make the painting your own. The best part is definitely when you can just step back and see all the paintings next to each other.

This was supposed to be a selfie of me and the birthday girl. The guys wanted in on the fun though!

It was a busy, but fun weekend.  It seems like that's going to be the theme for the month of November.  The month is shaping up to be jam packed with non stop activities, most fun, a few not so much,  Before the month is over, there will be a trip out of state, two concerts, a Broadway show, a major holiday and gathering with family, a month-long work obligation to be finished, a move, and hopefully some Christmas activities!!

Have you ever been to a paint bar? Any guesses on which painting belongs to each of us?
Do you have any fun plans for the month?
