Walking

This baby has been determined to learn how to walk so she can keep up with her older siblings. It’s been pretty fun watching her figure it out, even if progress seemed slow at times. She went days between her first and second set of steps, but finally we’re at a point where she can confidently walk across a room. I’d say she still crawls at least 50% of the time, but when you put her down, she’s more likely to stay standing than not.

It still blows my mind that we have such an early walker. We weren’t prepared for it, and it’s hard to pretend she’s still our baby as she hobbles by you, but she’s pretty cute so we’ll accept it.

So enjoy this short video of her falling on her butt and taking a few cute steps here and there. This video covers mid June to mid July, with her first actual steps occurring on July 6th, when she was 10 months old.

And now on to first birthday planning! Her siblings are so excited to watch her try cake for the first time. (And probably remind her again that we ate cake when she was born for her 0th birthday, but she didn’t get any!)
